Photos to Inspire you to Travel to Venice, Italy

I can remember dreaming about one day making a trip to Italy during my teenagers years. Coming from a small town in Arkansas in the USA, I didn’t have much of an idea about the world, but one place on Earth that I did know that existed in Europe was Italy.

Just the thought of this romantic European country made my heart beat a little faster. In my teenage years I used to imagine strolling through the narrow, artistic streets, with a delicious gelato chocolate cone in hand, watching the expressive Italians in all directions, and of course, pizza and pasta.

When I first moved abroad in 2013, taking a trip to Italy was one of my very first trips that I made within the first six months. There were many cities to choose from, but in the end,  I decided to take a trip with a friend to the romantic city of Venice.

The idea of beautiful canals, bridges, churches, gondola rides, rich history, culture and delicious food were all motivating factors in choosing Venice as my first Italian destination.

Venice is hands-down one of the most famous cities in the world, bringing people from all over the world there to experience it’s charm. It is made up of over 100 tiny islets, with canals and cute bridges in almost every direction you look.

Some of the Popular Attractions Include:

1 Saint Marks Basilica
2. Gondola Ride on Grand Canal
3. St. Marks Square
4. Rialto Bridge
5. Palazzo Ducale (Doge’s Palace) and Bridge of Sighs
6. Scuola Grande di San Rocco
7. Fine Arts Museum (Gallerie dell’ Accademia)
8. Palazzo Rezzonico
9. The Arsenal and the Museum of Naval History
10. Local Wine Tour
